I find that my identity comes into conflict with many of the things I am exposed to on a daily basis, and that I am constantly navigating through the various pressures and influences to define who I am.  I hate being categorized or stereotyped, but as a Political Scientist, I can’t help but do the same.  I created this blog to pack and unpack the boxes of what it is to be an American today.  I’ve discovered through my extensive travels and sojourns that there is much to be thankful for and much to be aware of.
